Captain Shawn Funk
to the Harv and Marv team.

Shawn is absolutely thrilled and honored to be part of the Harv
and Marv’s team. He’s been guiding and on Alaskan waters for
over 15 years.  His greatest passion is sharing Alaska’s majestic
Humpback whales, Orcas and marine life with visitors from all
over the world. Shawn is an accomplished Marine Naturalist and
spends part of his winters studying the Humpback whale in
Maui, Hawaii and the rest of the year here in Southeast Alaska
with his beloved Orcas and “Humpies”. He has been the master
of both large and small whale watching vessels and knows the
waters around Juneau intimately. Shawn also spent time as a
fly fishing guide and bear photo guide here in the wonderful
State of Alaska.

Shawn lives in Juneau with his wife and spends much of his
free time involved in the shooting sports. He is a Match Director
for the local Cowboy Action Shooting Club, an avid Trap League
shooter, a steel plate rifle and handgun competitor and enjoys
hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. His formal education is in
Business Management and U.S History.

Shawn is one of the most energetic and upbeat people Harv
and Marvs has ever meet. We know everyone going on a tour
with him will have a WONDERFUL time!
