the M/V Merlin in the summer of 2005 near Juneau, Alaska by Bill Welch.
Bill was sitting in the bow of the boat with his wife Marty and two other
passengers. We were all talking, waiting for the Humpback Whale we had
been watching to come up for some fresh air -
WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, IT SHOOTS OUT OF THE WATER JUST
OFF THE PORT SIDE HEADING STRAIGHT AT US, WOW!!!!!!!!
With my adrenaline at about 400% and a smile as big as I've ever had, we
all started talking excitedly about this incredible show, when Bill says,
"I got it"
I don't know how he did it, but he captured this "leaping leviathan".
